Tokiwa lives a comfortable, quiet life in a sleepy seaside town, thinking his peaceful days will go on forever. But, on his 18th birthday, his parents hit him with shocking news: the whole family is moving abroad, and Tokiwa has no say in the matter. He storms out in a rage and runs into Akiyoshi, a handsome young man he often exchanges greetings with on the way to school. Hearing about Tokiwa's plight, Akiyoshi suggests Tokiwa stay with him as a live-in housekeeper. It seems almost too good to be true. Why is Akiyoshi so kind to him? And, why does it feel like they share a deeper bond than Tokiwa can remember?
