Warden, a police officer dispatched to a remote island to investigate the disappearance of a colleague. While interviewing the island’s residents, he encounters “Skol,” an outsider in the village. Skol is despicable, completely lacking in consideration for others, and seems to look down on everyone except himself. Yet, despite his clumsiness—which betrays the fact that he knows something—Warden continues to seek him out. Then, at Skoll’s house, he discovers evidence suggesting his colleague may have been murdered...
