Seeking to connect with her roots, Xiaoming leaves her familiar life in Japan and crosses the ocean to attend university in Taiwan, her late father's homeland. But navigating a foreign country completely alone proves harder than she imagined. Struggling just to find a place to live before the semester starts, a disheartened Xiaoming wanders into Treasure Hill, a historic and tranquil settlement quietly breathing in the heart of Taipei.



Hidden within its winding alleys is "Hyakunichi Coffee," a quiet coffee shop steeped in an intriguing urban legend: it is said to solve the deepest troubles of anyone who walks through its doors. Run by the enigmatic owner, Meng, the cafe is more than just a place to rest: it operates as a secret "Dream Laboratory" that delves into the fragments of people's memories.

Guided by the memories of the Chestnut Tiger, a fragile butterfly known to migrate 2,000 kilometers across the sea, Xiaoming embarks on a surreal journey through "Memory Palaces," transcending the boundaries of time and space.
