The harem of Kabutozaka Province is a place where gods are invited and entertained. While the corporeal gods bring fertility and prosperity, if they become enraged they can bring terrible disaster to the country. Ayame, the daughter of a local county lord, travels to Tokyo to investigate the truth behind her best friend's death. There, she accidentally calms down an angry goddess and is appointed as a court lady in the harem by the king's younger brother, Niran.
However, this is only the beginning of an incident that could threaten the very fate of the country...
