It's love at first sight for Karel when he sees the bedraggled but beautiful Sasya during his travels. Although Karel offers him food and lodging, Sasya slips away without leaving any hints about his identity. But fate pulls them back together when Karel finds a photo of Sasya in a Russian duke's home, and tracks him down in Paris.
